Contemporary Fine Artist and Illustrator
My work celebrates feeling gratitude and appreciation for being able to creating art. I love to embrace how wonderful life can be by showing and feeling gratitude. I focus on the act of drawing and painting for the ‘feel good’ factor. This is my purpose for making art.
My style is a marriage of detailed fine line pen drawings with expressive watercolours. I draw in a tonal style using a fine liner pen like a pencil. I like my work to have detail and interest the pen and my work usually results in a scratchy, romantic, colourful experience often with a bit of drama. I’m particularly drawn towards landscapes and architecture inspired by my travels. I aim to represent subjects in my drawing style with an infusion of semi abstract watercolours using a limited pallet.
The world which I have been fortunate to experience inspires my work and as a result I paint a variety of subjects. I often invent scenes and places from my imagination. With each piece of art I create I’m looking to make unique pieces which incorporate modern and classic vibes.
“Life is about gratitude. You can’t feel down when you feel grateful”
