Welcome to my website

Hi All
Thought I’d do a little introduction blog as my first post so you can learn a bit about me. Well I’m 35, wife and mother to a 7 year old girl living in Liverpool in England. I work full time as a graphic designer with my background eduction being art and design. I paint and draw in my precious free time at home in my spare room. I paint for myself which selfishly, I put first as that’s where my passion for art comes from – doing things I want to do. I occasionally get requests for commissions and I love creating art as gifts for my friends and family.

I have been drawing since I was a child and I bombarded my Nana and Grandpa for years with drawings which they kept. I did G.C.S.E and A-level art and design then I did a foundation course at John Moores University. It was then I decided to get into Graphic Design. I produced a portfolio and found myself work experience. I took my first job at a printers as a Trainee Graphic Designer in 2000. I’m currently working in the graphic design department for a hydraulics and pneumatics company in Skelmersdale when I have been for the past 6 years. The work I do is mostly producing the annual catalogue and creating various promotional material for the company and distributors.

After my nana and grandpa past away a few years ago, I used some of my inheritance to pay for a drawing and painting home study course. I wanted to get back into art and I thought this would be my chance. I knew that my nana and grandpa would definitely approve. I completed this and got a distinction and I’m working though another home study course in art history. I have also done an evening class in Impressionism painting to develop my skills. In addition I have had work published in Paint magazine.

I’ve put this website together so I have my own online space. Also so people can view my work and keep up to date with what I’m working on. I will also keep a regular blog about arty things that interest me. If you have any comments I would love to hear from you, email me at
