I started the year off painting with every spare moment I had for a group exhibition I took part in, held at Calderstones Park in Liverpool. It was a frantic few weeks as I only made the decision last minute to give myself something positive to focus on. After I did that, I took a few weeks to relax and enjoy life. However in the summer I suffered ill health and it’s taken me the rest of the year to recover. I managed to create a couple of paintings for Christmas presents and I painted several watercolours and made Christmas cards for various family and friends.
I’m hoping 2019 goes more to plan. I’m not planing any exhibitions but I plan to make loads of work, take on all commissions that come my way and look out for any calls for artists. I’d like to connect with more artists all over the world and see what they are up to. I would also like to research artists I love and find out about their work ethics and who they are inspired by. Inspiration makes the world go by.
I will be quite busy as I have many hobbies and interests including ballroom and Latin dancing in which I rehearse weekly and take exams for medals. I’m also interested in rekindling my musical side and start playing the keyboard/piano again. As well as all that I’ve got a family and work full time as a graphic designer so I will be making sure I get plenty of down time too.
Thank you so much for taking an interest in me and my work, your support is always appreciated.
All the best for 2019
